Vasi Govinder-Padayachy

Managing Director

Redeo Rail Solutions is led by its Managing Director, Vasi Govinder-Padayachy, who holds executive responsibility for the company’s technical standards, client relationships and transformation commitments in South Africa. Under her leadership, the company serves the South African and SADC market — combining local accountability with direct access to Redeo’s strategic partners.

As Chief Executive Officer of TSL Group South Africa, Vasi brings over 30 years of leadership experience overseeing strategic planning and execution across TSL Group. With a focus on business strategy, negotiation and business process optimisation, she has deep experience in implementing growth strategies and fostering cross-functional collaboration across teams and partners.

Her leadership has earned recognition beyond the group. In 2026 she was honoured as a Global Women Leader for excellence in world-class global leadership, and was named a finalist in the Top Empowered CEO category at the Top Women Empowerment awards.

Vasi graduated with a Bproc from the University of South Africa (UNISA) in 2004 and completed a Master’s degree in public administration in 2017 from University of Liverpool and various other management and leadership courses from University of Cape Town. She is currently pursuing an MBA and a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) at Swiss International University — a continuing commitment to the governance, strategy and leadership disciplines that inform her executive practice

Dr Nakedi Mathews Phosa

Director

Dr Nakedi Mathews Phosa is a distinguished South African political, business, governance and diplomatic leader with more than four decades of leadership experience spanning government, constitutional negotiations, higher education, corporate governance, infrastructure development, international relations and social impact.

A lawyer by profession, Dr Phosa holds BProc and LLB degrees from the University of the North and an Honorary Doctor of Laws (LLD) from Boston University, USA. He played a pivotal role in South Africa’s transition to democracy, serving as one of three ANC leaders tasked with initiating negotiations with the apartheid government in 1990. Following South Africa’s first democratic elections in 1994, he was appointed by President Nelson Mandela as the first Premier of Mpumalanga Province.

Dr Phosa has made significant contributions to higher education and institutional governance. He chaired the Council of the University of South Africa (UNISA) from 2003 to 2015 and played a key role in the transformation and consolidation of South Africa’s higher education landscape. He has also served in senior leadership and governance capacities across the public and private sectors, including mining, infrastructure, telecommunications, biotechnology, healthcare, investment and social development.

His interests and expertise include strategic leadership, governance and public policy, constitutional negotiations, diplomacy, peacebuilding, conflict resolution, infrastructure and economic development. He has participated in peacebuilding initiatives internationally and continues to contribute to leadership, governance, education and social development in Africa and beyond.

Dr Phosa is also a published author, poet and public intellectual. His literary works include Chants of Freedom and Witness to Power, his memoir published in 2024. He is fluent in nine languages and has received numerous national and international honours, including an Honorary Doctor of Laws from Boston University and several lifetime achievement awards.

Through his philanthropic and social-impact work, particularly through the Phosa Legacy Foundation, he has supported education, youth empowerment, disability inclusion, community development and access to opportunities for underserved communities.

Dr Phosa’s distinguished career reflects a lifelong commitment to nation-building, ethical leadership, education, inclusive development, diplomacy and the advancement of African society.

Khuliso Sigama

Director – Legal

Khuliso Sigama is an admitted Attorney with extensive experience in commercial law, specializing in commercial contracts, structured finance, construction and engineering law, and general litigation. He has in-depth expertise in drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and advising on complex commercial agreements across a broad range of industries.

His construction and engineering law experience includes advising clients under internationally recognized contract frameworks, including FIDIC, NEC, and JBCC, providing strategic legal guidance throughout the project lifecycle—from procurement and contract negotiation to dispute resolution.

Khuliso also advises on structured finance transactions, ensuring legally sound financing arrangements that align with commercial objectives while effectively managing legal and regulatory risk.

With a practical and solutions-driven approach, he represents clients in litigation and dispute resolution matters, delivering commercially focused legal advice that protects their interests and supports long-term business success.

Kanishk Tripathi

Director

Kanishk Tripathi is a young entrepreneur and Director with a strong focus on construction, infrastructure, and business development across West Africa. A Business Graduate from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), Bengaluru, he brings practical experience in logistics planning. supply chain operations, and SAP-based manufacturing environments.

Combining commercial acumen with an entrepreneurial mindset, Kanishk is committed to driving sustainable growth, fostering strategic partnerships, and delivering innovative, value-driven solutions that support the company’s expansion across the African continent.

Bavesh Padayachy

Director

Bavesh Padayachy is a legal and compliance professional based in Cape Town. He serves as Head of Department: Legal & Compliance at TSL Legal (Pty) Ltd, where he has led legal and regulatory compliance functions for major South African financial services and telecommunications clients for over six years. He is the founding Director of Padayachy Advisory (Pty) Ltd, a regulatory compliance consultancy, and the developer of ComplyOne, a POPIA-focused governance, risk and compliance platform.

He is completing his LLB at Stellenbosch University, with academic interests in constitutional and administrative law, data protection, and cyber law. He has delivered an oral submission before Parliament’s NCOP Ad Hoc Committee on the General Intelligence Laws Amendment Bill, published commentary in the Daily Maverick, and co-authored a scholarly chapter on electronic voting. He holds the AIIASA and CISA designations and founded the TSL Legal Vacation Work Programme.
